Josey - 6ft (2) 9/25/19

Today was the day I actually went to 6ft press and did work from there. I arrived and met Mr. Voorhees who turns out is super nice and got a little tour of there space. The whole space is super nice with lots of room and three floors. We went into his office and I learned more about what his job was at 6ft press, who he worked with and I met a lot of people who worked with him. So we just talked for a while about what I was interested in and what I wanted to learn about while I was there then I started working on reading these twitter posts about Native Americans. He had this idea for a story about Native Americans who traveled to London and the Carribbean from Florida because of a twitter post he had seen. So I looked through all the posts and tried to find more links of articles about something along the lines of this. So for about 45 minutes I worked on this before I was invited to go and have a demonstration of a virtual reality company that was there. They had VR goggles and you could try models on a truck, see where the most pressure was applied when driving, and they also had a map of Houston where you could go inside a building and see all of the things that could happen there. This was such a cool experience. The whole office space is pretty amazing and I got to a see a company there trying to partner with 6ft and see how something like this could start. Although I didn't have too much time to work I feel like I got a good idea of everything that happens and what is going on inside the business.
