Josey - Writspace (14) 10/10/19
I went back to Writspace today and immediately got started with adding emails to the mailchimp list. This is a pretty straightforward task I have done before, but I again faced the challenge of trying to decipher many peoples handwriting. After working on this for about 20 minutes I moved on to creating posters. One needed to be made to tell people the wifi and password, and one needed to be made to show where the kitchen, and restrooms were for when workshops were being hosted. It took me a while to figure out how everything worked, but once I did I had a lot of fun being a little creative in my work. Once I finished this I moved on to try to find festivals around Houston that Writespace could have a promotional booth at. This took me a while but I realized how important it is for small organizations like this to be able to promote themselves even in small ways. I worked on this for about thirty minutes trying to look around and find writing related festivals, or even arts festivas where there could be a booth to help promote. I had a great time exploring all of these festivals in Houston I had no idea existed and also learning about small ways to promote the organization.
